My first hatch of 2012, 3 BC Marans, 2 Penedesencas.

YAY! Success is so sweet! My first hatch of 2012 ended today with the 7 th chick breaking free of it's sticky prison. These were thought to be polish/silkie mixes....but the 4 black and 3 gray chicks each have that tale-tell white dot on their heads. I believe my best boy Emu (Barred rock) was stepping out on his girls. This hatch was 7 eggs in, 7 chicks out! Dry incubation all the way!

100% hatch, nurse_turtle, that's great! Several of my eggs are still pipping, but they've been quiet for a while. I'm trying to be patient.

I'd go crazy waiting for the chicks to hatch. Congratulations!
