They are very cute, LOVE the pose!!!


I am fascinated by this "breed" of duck. I've read that they are not very fertile nor do they hatch well.

Where did you get these eggs to hatch? How long have you been hatching them?

One more clutch of buffs and lavs incubating in the shed
under my buff goose "Peaches" with grey baby-daddy
"McGraw" standing guard outside.
Here's hoping a few more hatch out.

I think some bloodlines are less fertile than others
but the last 2 years many breeders across the nation
have had poor hatches from everything from pigeons to geese.
Causes undetermined.
I use both incubators and setting hens to hatch them out.
