Its was a miracle for sure..Im sooo relieved-my only thought is that those guys will not all fit in that coop box at night until they reach full grown-they are comfy now but in 3-4 weeks not so much. Besides the 5 BLRW roos I stuck in there gives me a chance to really watch their feathering to see if there's one I want to keep for breeding. The roo I did keep-Im not so sure about :-(

ok darn it Im on the hunt for another scale! I think I have one somewhere but I ts needs batteries?? Stay tuned Ill hopefull have weights shortly:)

I went to rustyswomans to help her weigh her birds . . . yeah you know why she wanted me???? so I could stand on the scale and be weighed with the birds

what are friends for?

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading all of this. Wish I were closer so I could come to Chickenstock, and I can really identify with the lack of help from those who do not regard the chix as their responsibility. I will be there with ya in spirit!

LOL sounds like mine! haha

SallyF-thanks for the cheers:) Funny how teh family feels this way 95% of the time but my call duck is in our spare tub because he is ill:-( Not sure whats wrong with him but DH is teh one warming peas up for him and filling a nice warm tub to help blow his nostrils in:) Hes good with the ones he has a relationship with-LOL thats 3-4 animals out of 75 we have!

The meaties are getting bigger and they went through 5 lbs of food today or more and 4-5 gallons of water-5 weeks old today-one is starting to show signs of a weak leg-Im watching her. She is getting around fine eating adn drinking but leg is further out than it should be-so if she seems like she is sufering the least bit she will be processed-all 26 still happy and healthy:)

ok now Im a tad worried its been raining off and on for the past two days here and my meaties are staying in the rain-now sneezing and sounding a weezy-some of them-what do I do???

Mine started sounding wheezy in the last couple of weeks too, it was hot here. I think it is their bodies giving out more than the weather. mine made it to butcher but I watched them really close when they started that.
