My First Monster Egg!!

Yesterday we had a weak shelled egg that was cracked in the nest, probably from Mimi (who I think is a NH red). Today, she layed this monster!! I can't even close the lid of the egg carton! It weighed in at 100 grams, or 3.5 oz.

Wow, we were getting some that size from one of our hens, they were so big it was crazy. She became egg-bound and the inevitable happened.

My friend, who gave her to me, said she's done it before. Her biggest was 3.2 oz, this one was 3.5 oz.
