My FIrst Pip

We set 12 eggs (a mix we got from a friend) 21 days ago and today my daughter noticed the first ever pip. Nine of the eggs are in lockdown and we are on day 21 with a pip. Excitement around our house.

My kids ages 11 and 8 went running to the garage to get Dad who confirmed the pip.

Now the real waiting begins.

OMG! We have a second pip and we hear cheeping from the incubator. I have very excited children!!!

Yay! My littlest who is 4 got to watch our ducklings hatch, it was so thrilling! I don't think he stopped talking about it for weeks!

congrats on you first hatch it is an exciting thing

and it is a good teaching tool for your children. I am on my 5th hatch now and we just got our first pip this morning and we have one chirping back at us and i can tell you that every hatch is just as exciting as the first. Are your children glued to the incubator?

Yay congrats!! It is very exciting! I'm on day 21 with my mix right now but unfortunately I'm at work and can't watch... So I think I'll live through your hatch for the day LoL Yay us! Haha!!
