My first pullet eggs

My Barred Rock clutch that I hatched back in January, has finally started to lay. I'm so excited. This my first eggs laid from eggs I hatched. This is cool!! Anyway, how long should I let them lay before it is safe to incubate or eat them??

They're ready to eat right now! If you're going to incubate them, just choose eggs of a normal shape and average size. If the rooster is doing his job, they have a pretty good chance of hatching. I've had the same luck with pullet eggs as those from hens. Good luck.

Eating the eggs are good. They are pretty small so incubating will wait until they get bigger. I feel like a proud Grampa
