Okay...maybe thatis what is killing my chickens? I had about 15 die over the weekend and one today. Their vents are gaping and you can see their insides....
I did not see the ones this weekend but I don't think their are any maggots. I also have one who vent area is yellow and pussy. I am going to cull him...
Does anyone know what is going on with my chickens? I have pictures if anyone would like to see.
I am really discouraged.

Call me weird, but I am trying to find out about things BEFORE they happen to my birds, (from now on that is

)

Can't remember the bug, but here in Tx there is a bug that layes larva under the skin of animals and it becomes this weird, oozy ring after the larva comes out...nasty! I would assume that could happen with the chickens. It only occures somewhere on the (dog, in my case) animal that is not easy to scratch...like the vent...
