First I want to say thanks for posting all this info! I'm learning a lot!
They just came this morning! 6 BR's and 5 BBB's.
I was scared to death I wouldn't be able to get them to eat and drink....luckily I think I got smart ones. They have all already ate and drank. I believe I am going to love raising turkeys! I'm going to be checking on them every few minutes in the days to come.....![]()
This one is only happy when I'm standing over it making turkey noises. Puts him/her right to sleep....![]()

Your pictures are gorgeous! Love your little cutie that wanted you near him/her talking all the time. How old were they when you put them in the bigger box? I have 5 1 day old Blue slate poults coming in May/ June and have just managed to get a big box from a furniture shop which I will also turn into a brooder.![]()
Thanks! I'm a turkey raiser for life now! Good luck to you on yours! I heard that too and had chicks ready to put in with them, but didn't need to. Sounds like these will be your first ones...I bet you have a great time with them! Thanks for posting the pics they're all so cute. I have 17 in the incubator that are due May 4th, I took someones advice on here and put 11 chicken eggs on day 7. They say the chicks help teach the poults how to eat and drink, we shall see.![]()
