I opened a door for the little ones to go in and out. One of the Marans boys was the first to pop through and make himself obnoxious to a hen who was eating some cabbage.

I'm too sick still to stay down there with them any longer, but in 20 minutes there was no violence so I expect it will be OK.

Banded and photographed to get a new ad up on Craigslist. I'm afraid that out of 7 I only got 2 confirmed girls.

I was hoping that Slowpoke would be a girl and thus a possible candidate for a pet home, but I think that is wrong. You can see how well that deformed foot turned out -- but I'd still never breed him.
