New hen protector here...living the Santa Cruz Mountains, CA.
I called my good friend Steve on the chicken hotline (speed dial 11 on my cell phone). This weekend, Steve and I are building and attaching a 6'x10' chicken run and also adding 2 nesting boxes and roosting bars to the coop.
This morning, I was sitting with my little hens in their coop and I decided that the bigger of the two Cochins will be Big C (on the left) and then there is Little C (feeding at the trough). Little C is the rowdiest of the whole flock even though she is the smallest. The Cochin sisters at 2.5 weeks:
The Dominque sisters are aptly named Big D (on right) and Little D (on the left) until we decide on some real names. The Doms seem pretty big for 4 weeks.
Chickening is fun so far, I would love to hear about other owners of Cochins and Dominques.
