My friend feeds his cat CRICKETS!!

I wouldnt buy them for a cat,but outdoor cats eat them all the time, even my ragdolls will eat them if they get into the house,I can tell when they had one cause they leave the legs on the floor

You should see Toby go after a grasshopper.

He will eat anything. He has learned, however not to eat bees - those don't go down as easily.

That's how Baby is with the big bumblebees. She will bite them, and squish them, but she has learned not to eat them!

I did have a golden retriever once that loved going outside on his tie-out at night. The beatles that would swarm the light and hit the ground were evidently pretty tasty!

My cats bring me voles and even a baby rabbit once right outside my sliding door.... Poor rabbit!

Yes, crickets and spiders are just fine! In fact my chickens once rescued me from a BIG scary spider that was on my deck chair. It almost climbed on my shoulder, I jumped up, and watched it climb down the arm of the chair, and then my hens spotted it and took care of it!
