My Friend Is Dead

We had a crooked beak boy who also had a large curvature on his breast bone that was palpable. He was a good bird, but didn't seem to know he was a rooster.

Sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss.

Sorry for your loss. I have a cross beak chick and she will not be culled so long as she's not suffering, which she's not. I know how easy it is to get attached to the special needs ones. I've had a few. Let the so-called expert chicken keepers laugh at me all they want. The special ones lives are as precious as any other.

But just think -- perhaps he will come back to you in another egg before too long and you can all be together again!
