My friend has a hen and he found out that she has no yolk ! Is that odd in small breeds ?

And can he do anything about it ?
 
Is she just starting to lay? If so it takes awhile to work all the bugs out of the system. If she is a tiny bantam breed like a class A Serama, she may never lay a regular egg.
 
seranas were bred to be housepets in Malaysia - I don't think the bigger ones are great layers either. My friend has two serama hens a few years old- when they do lay, the eggs are good sized. They don't lay often. Seramas do tend to go broody and that is a time to buy fertile eggs of any breed and put them under her. She would hatch them as her own.
