They're taking it very well, would you believe? They're happy and smiling a lot. Yesterday one of them went out to buy clothes for the first time and she was just so excited and talking about how she was going to get nice new things - and how they found lovely flooring under the carpet so they're going to use that when they rebuild.

I think the whole thing makes someone realize the important things in life. And in the end you find out those things aren't actually what you own, but who you know.
 
Elizabeth, I'm so sorry for your friends' hardship - glad to hear they're taking it in stride! I know there's not much they can do about it, but I'm not sure I'd display that much grace under pressure.
