My Friends In The Feed Barrel !

Spring type traps work well. You don't even have to drive anywhere to let the mice go. Simply walk to the trash can and you're done. For a little more entertainment you could try an air rifle.

I Don't mean to offend in anyway. I simply see them as pest's that could make their way to my kitchen if not controlled.

I agree, they should not suffer and that has never been my intention.

I still say that those are baby rats, not mice. I've had mice as pets and my daughter has owned rats as pets and the picture, in the first post, shows baby rats.

My rat problem has grown out of control and they totally ignore my rat trap that electrocutes them when they step into it to get the bait. Last night I started using the "plaster of paris/peanut butter" recipe to see if that works. I put out half a dozen grape sized balls of it then went it to put the kids to bed. Then I made more balls to put out and when I went to put them near the rat holes the first balls were gone already!!!! I had my flashlight with me and I looked around and there was a rat looking out of one of the holes at me. I guess he was looking to see if there were anymore.

They don't look like the mice I've seen here. They have more of the look of some native mice, but don't have the hairy tails. I thought maybe you had something different running around down there. Now, I hadn't thought about baby rats, as I don't have any first hand experience with that. I wonder if that's what they are.

What about one of those plug-in sonic things? We have one up stairs (it is unfinished) and that took care of the mouse problem up there. It does not seem to bother anything else.

Let me just say, mice will multiply like crazy and you will NEVER get rid of them totally...but I try my darndest because if they are around....you will also get s n a k e s coming in because they will be tracking them....so now that i have told you that..either keep them and have snakes or get rid of them A.S.A.P....I would rather NOT have them and NOT have snakes...I am scared to death of Snakes.

We have snakes coming in the doors anyway! we've gotten rid of up to 4 rat snakes in the house at once before. and They've always been around the sheds and sometimes in the sheds considering they leave their small gifts behind, they've just now started getting into the feed, The shed is a good ways away from the house and the snakes still come in, far as im concerned bring the snakes on! I enjoy catching them to LOL
