My geese don't move for cars !!

I lost a gosling to a car yesterday and feel terrible. Is there anything I can do to keep them out of the street ?
Is there a way to educate them to not go into the street ?
Should I keep them caged in or allow them to roam free and take their chances ?

Can’t you use some poultry netting or make shift fencing to stop them going on to the road? Our neighbour use to have his free roaming, but after loosing geese and many complaints from the village, he now uses plastic construction netting on the end of his drive to stop them leaving.

Fencing is really the only way to ensure that your geese don't wander off your property. It will keep them safer and some of your neighbors will likely appreciate not having your geese on their property.

Please don't let the just roam all over and especially in the road. They are smart but not that smart. Fencing or penning them in. How many do you have?
