It seems that my two fainting goat bucks think it is their job to guard the chickens. I am out in the pasture while everyone is eating, and the boys go about eating and walking around, but just about all the time that I am not out at the pasture, the boys are laying or standing next to the chicken run, especially my older buck who is leader of the pack around here. I really do think they are guarding the chickens, because until I started letting the chickens out in their run, the goats never stayed by the coop. I am happy, because I don't think anything will bother them, even though they are in their run, but there is a LOT of goat poop accumulating by the door of the coop!!

Is this normal behavior, or do I just have weird goats?
