Hi all! I have a Sebastopol goose on eggs right now. She has been on them for a long time now and is sitting on 4 or 5. Last night I candled them and I could see the inside was totally dark but the air sack was visible. They also seemed extremely light weight. I think that means there is a chick in the egg, but I'm not too sure. I have hatched eggs in a incubator once before and when they were dark with the air sack visible it meant they were close to hatching. Does that mean they are close to hatching?? Thanks!

From what I have read and looked at yes! I am a newbie to chickens and incubation, but had geese as a kid, loved them :) Looking forward to getting some soon!

Thanks for the help! I have always loved geese, they are very talkative!
