My Hatching Journey: the Adventures of a Complete Newbie

Lesson 21 the unattached approach to hatching. Once the chick has hatched do not hold cuddle or show affection toward the said chick :sick . Remember the longer you keep it the more it consumes . It is a absolute must this rule is followed .  You see the chick eats little at first and poops little at first . So chick grows poop pile grows and the money pile shrinks. No money = no feed = no new hatches = no  mo chicken .  Now you get out there and sell them chicken and no excuses :rant And non of that bleeding heart crap neither . I swear :idunno   we gonna do with you just :idunno You could sell with a money back guarantee . Works for me I guarantee you ain't getting no money back from me .:gig  And don't you be hanging out at no Walmart parking lot neither you take them chicken to a strip club where they strip off the feathers and eat em!!!!   Hope this has helped with your chicken marketing skills . Future classes will be added on a  as needed bases . ;) :frow

:gig
It is a very nice idea in theory!

except for the fact that you can't let go of them and you can't stop cuddling them
That is why I said "in theory". I almost cry when I have to rehome them.

I mean, c'mon, I have spent a jillion hours turning them, watching temp, and getting grey hairs during lockdown, surely I at least get to keep a few? Or at the very least cuddle their adorable selves? They're so fluffy!
OH WAIT I've got 30 chickens. And I love them all so getting rid of them is hard..... Hmmm! I just need a bigger coop!
