My hen has a prolapsed vent !

Does she roost overnight on a pole/bar or does she sleep in a nest box? I have some older girls that will go through phases of sleeping in a nest box but don't soil it and do the equivalent of a broody poop in the morning but don't show any other broody traits and spend the day like a normal chicken.
It may be that your girl is starting to think about going broody which I think is what you were hoping for from your other posts, but you will need to be vigilant with her having this problem because the long periods of inactivity and slow bowel may cause her to have recurring problems with this prolapse issue. The other thing to consider would be her diet. Too much protein can cause constipation. You might consider adding a little more oil to her diet and see if that helps short term.

She may have some damage in her cloaca from the prolapse experience, but I would try some coconut oil (about 1 tsp) in her feed every 1-2 days. @Wyorp Rock likes to freeze or refrigerate it to make it solid, and give it in small peckable pieces. If it becomes too loose, you could back off to less often.
Mine will fight over coconut oil chunks:hmm (I don't give it often!) If giving it solid is not an option, stir a little into her feed, but yes too much can make for some loose stools.

Unfortunately our coconut oil is done from the prolapse fiasco! She sometimes sleeps on her little pole, otherwise she sleeps in the nest on her eggs or in the roof. I think I have a pic of her sleeping in the roof. Ill search for it now and send it.
Here in Cape Town the weather is really hot at the moment. Everyday it is about 30-35 °Celsius and in the roof of the cage it is alot cooler. And in the winter she sleeps there because it is a bit warmer. Its her favorite spot

I think she might be geting broody. Every time she sees me she screams and sometimes make these cute little noises when she eats. But she's not sitting on her eggs yet

She may be going broody. That poo is big, but it looks pretty normal to me!
I've has some that "play broody" but never really sit, they just go through the motions of being temperamental for a while.
Don't you love those noises though!
