Hi, all!
My sweet little Americauna, Baby Girl, came down with sour crop a few days ago. I'm giving her Nystatin, which seems to have taken care of the issue. She still has 2 days of treatment to go, but she still isn't eating very much. I give her probiotic plain yogurt mixed with scrambled eggs and softened layer pellet. In addition, she has grit if she wants it. She still has runny poo but part of me wonders if that is because she's not eating anything completely solid yet. She's also been getting plain Pedialyte diluted with filtered water. I guess my question is, how do I know when she's better? She stands up and walks around just fine and fights me when it comes to the medicine, which tells me she has some energy. Just not really sure what to look for or how long I need to keep her in this kennel. Advice would be greatly appreciated.
