Hope has not laid in three days. She usually lays about every day or every two days. Should I be concerned? She usually does not go this long without laying an egg.

She is 6 months old and just started laying about 2 1/2 weeks ago. No, she is not molting as of now, but it could be a possibility. that may be the case, but the clock just turned today!

Probably has to do with time changing! my flocks all mixed up over it &. i went from getting 5-6 per day to 2-3. Try feeeding her scrambled egg with egg shell crumbled up in it (microwave the egg for 30-60 seconds and crumble it very finely if they arent super tiny they wont eat the eggshells or if you have money buy the oyster stuff but i have jusr as much luck with eggs and grit) plus i upgraded to 22% layer pellets opposed to the lower percent.
Hope this helps..

Do you free range?
Is she acting fine(eating drinking pooping active)?

The clock time change did not change the amount of daylight, only where it reads on the clocks. ;)

Tho the shortening days will trigger molting and cessation of lay in birds older than a year, many first year layers(pullets) will continue laying all winter and some will not.

Well (lol) since we havent been getting eggs, we only have the store bought ones. would that still be okay? Plus our microwave isn't working... we have an oven and a toaster oven?

The clock time DOES change the amount of daylight... and the days don't get shorter... The time changes and the sun goes down quicker. A day is still the same amount of time. She is acting just fine, she was laying down a little more yesterday, and i havent checked on them today yet but im not sure. She is only about 6 and a half months, and no she and her sister are in a coop and i let them out almost everyday for as long as possible

are there little pin feathers poking thru where her feather loss is? and when they first start laying, they can be a little hit and miss..
What is a hit and miss? my mom said that she is molting (because she doesnt let me decide and she just goes to my aunt who has chickens and just believes her so easily) but she hasnt laid in 2 weeks and two days and she is not loosing feathers.
