poor baby, I don't think she is ugly at all but besides broodiness she is probably suffering post traumatic stress. Can you teach her to dump her broody POOs someplace else - yuck.

Well....this Sunday is 21 days since I gave my Broody Frazzle 2 LF Barred Rock eggs to hatch. She was too small for anymore than that. She's still hard at work sitting on the eggs. In fact, today is the 3rd day in a row she's refused to leave the nest at all. I'm starting to worry about her.....

I confess that I didn't ever candle the eggs. Every time I tried to get the eggs when she went for a potty break, she'd see me and race me back to the nest. I decided if she was that protective I wouldn't bother them and just see what happens. I so hope she has some chicks this weekend. She deserves it for all her hard work!

I gave my house chicken some fertile eggs from the girls outside and she is perfectly happy now.
