My hen is crowing

Two things.....
See if the breeder will take her back.
Ditch the collar. There have been cases of roosters choking to death trying to swallow food due to the collars.

They are over limit for number of birds allowed. Sadly a loud hen could bring that to the attention of code enforcement.
Yeap, i wld have to hide 2 hens b4 i cld show code enforcement my coop & tractor.

Sebright males are what is called "hen feathered". It is quite possible you have a male.
I know. He/She is a mystery. She acts like a pullet, hangs out with the pullets, investigates the nest boxes, has not crowed, but the one time, in 8 months. I haven't seen it lay, but ... wait... I don't think any of the boys have any interest in "her". I have never seen it get mated. Oh, no. :barnie

I have an 8 year old EE that crows once in a while. Her name is Mary Anna
