My hen is crowing???

Hey all! My silver phoenix pullet started crowing today. Now, I know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that she is a she. She lays eggs, and phoenix roosters and hens differ largely in coloration. Now, she is in the coop with a rooster, a very dominant rooster. I just bought a new rooster, who will be "alpha" as soon as I sell the old roo. So, why would she be crowing? Thanks in advance!

As to why she has suddenly started crowing......

but I did want say I have a phoenix hen who *occasionally* crows. She also has a scary set of spurs she uses to whoop the snot out of any cockerel or roo who gets in her way. Good luck!

Hmm, must be a phoenix thing. She also tries to fight with the new rooster (they are in different coops, but they fight from opposite sides of the fence)
