My hen is making donkey sounds......

I know this is going to sound strange, but it's true! It sounds like craaaaaw craaaaaaw HEEEEEAAA-haaaaaaaaaaw craaaaaaaaw but the HEEEEEAAAA is more... I dunno. donkeyish. like she has a REAAALLY sore throat. (the constant quiet craaaaw-ing is because we just put a pinless peeper on her. The donkey sounds started before we put it on.) Did anyone else here get sold a donkey when they thought they where getting a hen? I mean, whats up with her!?!?!?!?!?

A honking donkey like sound is quite common. I have one BO, Fat Amy, who puts the neighbor's donkey to shame. How old is she and did she recently reach the point of lay? I notice the honking that sets in tends to do so as my girls reach that age - kind of a voice change similar to that of a boy reaching puberty, lol.

I've never heard of a donkey hen either. But, my friend has a mixed silkie rooster that laughs - he goes HAHAHAHAHA when she tickles him. So maybe it is a laugh.
