The closest experience I have to this is a rooster of mine. He was attacked by what-we-will-never-know. I had some serious injuries to deal with. Poor guy was ready for me to quit fooling with him (I didn't really know much back then, not that I know a whole lot now either but hey!). I guess somewhere along the line he decided that he needed to eat from my hand at least once a day. I go out to feed and he jumps up on my shoulder and rides around up there until I have fed all the others (yes even the goats). Then he gets a handful of feed straight from my hand before going off to finish eating with the rest of the crew. It's totally crazy.

That is the loveliest picture of both of you!

Yes, she looks just like Tasha, my Rhode Island Red, who is a little 'different' from the rest of the flock - smarter, more dignified.

I did have two Red Stars who would sneak into my house if I left the window open in the summer, but your situation seems like more than curiousity. That chicken is crazy about you!

I have a Cinnamon princess who seems to be obsessed with me follows me around everywhere just today I was in my yard cleaning up and she flew up and landed on my shoulder is this normal??

I have a rooster that was attacked, lost most of his top beak. I had to nurse hi me back to health and hand feed for a bit. Now he flus up onto my shoulder and stays perched as I make my rounds feeding everyone. When I'm done he gets a little bit hand fed to him then he goes and joins the rest. If I'm out at all for any other reason he perches on my shoulder and goes around with me. He even sits on my horse with me when I ride!

We have a small flock . We’ve lost 4 . So down to 8 hens 2 rooster and have 2 ducks also . They are just over a year old. I have one hen we call Green Bean and since we got her she’s always been a very docile , lovey, girl . Well since spring sprung here she’s gone full fatal attraction on me . She will chase other hens away from me , my little dogs , our outside cats . She’s constantly trying to sneak in our house when the big dog comes in by getting under him . All day she sits on my porch squawking and pecking the door until I let her in the entry way , where she lays her egg then makes noise until I come out and pet or hold her . If she’s not in the entry way she will follow my voice in the house and get on anything she can to look in windows and squawk at me . Does she think she’s a house pet ?!

Hey y'all!!! New to the forum and received my first flock of baby chicks a little over 2 weeks ago. I have one girl in particular, a Dominique, who will jump on my shoulders or arm for a ride around the house whenever I open the brooder door!! Once or twice now she's chased off other chicks trying to hang out on my arm while brooder cleaning. Loving them so much but kts crazy how attached she (Hazel girl) is to me already!!
