* That is -By Far- the weirdest thing I have ever heard of in my time on BYC. DH said maybe she thinks that's the only way to protect the eggs from you or she thinks to keep it warm-- I don't know. I think you need a extra special Chicken Whisperer, or a hefty dose of k-y, maybe??? (Big Shrug!)

Actually, I was figuring if you dose her well enough, she'll have no choice but to give up--uh--hiding eggs!!! It has it's uses in chickens, with eggbound hens or internally broken shell bits, usually though. Might work. . .(I'd use the regular old fashioned jelly, though. No sense making it TOO fun!!)
