Thank you!! Same here there so adorable I want them all! Im also sad to see all the roosters without homes! Everyone wants hens but the roosters are left hanging :/ What do you think would be a okay amount of hens per rooster? Id love to have a bunch of seperate pens and coops to have as many rooster/ flocks I can reasonably afford and take care of :)

I think this is a good idea especially if she is just getting cracked corn. When I saw your last post about her diet I wanted to tell you she needs more nutrients but I knew it was out of your control and I was going to say, given the circumstances, that giving treats in moderation might not be such a bad thing. You really are great with chickens! If you are ever in my area and wanted to make some extra money I'd gladly pay you to help with mine as our kids (17 & 10) want nothing to do with them, sadly.
 
Okie thank you! Ill get the feed then :) awh thank you! id love to help you if i ever get out that way :) And i hope your kids get interested in your chickens! There so worth the time and money spent on them and now a days kids and teens are so wraped up in technology that they are missing the beautiful world around them :/
 
You are right about that! Although I knew better, I gave in to technology and it has caused issues. Even with a 1hr a day screen time rule it's all they seem to think about. Glad to hear you're doing things differently as there is no substitute for God's creations :).
 
Yea my mom gives us limets as well ik the temptation is really hard for me not to use it with all the new stuff they come out with so i can realate with your kids! But im glad to have pets, that I have to be responsible for. 3 cats and 2 chickens is interesting to afford on a teens budget lol but it has helped me to not be such of a spend thrift like i used to be :)

I am 15, and parents like ours who make us responsible for our own pets are doing it right! I have 3 cats and 10 chickens and they are all on me, but my mom occasionally helps with the chicken feed since I let her have free access to their eggs. My brother & I have no limits to technology but I've learned that with the time it takes to clean, feed, water, and love my animals I seldom have the time to access technology for long. I also have a dog, that while my mom pays for her feed, toys, and vet care, the actual care (walking, feeding, training) is on me - but I wouldn't have it any other way!
 
Amen to that! I only wish i had my own car! Then i could get stuff for my chickens when they need it lol but i totally agree with you!
