My hen is walking around with her wings slightly lifted?

A couple of mine are doing that now. I don't know where you are, but I attributed it to the heat.

Someone else much more experienced will help I am sure.

I'm in Miami, Florida. So yeah, I guess it's hot. I also see her with her beak open a lot. What should I do???

Mine do that when they're hot. Just make sure they've got fresh water and I often wet a spot down in the shade for them to lay around in. When it's really hot in the summer I'll fill shallow trays with water and they like to stand in it.

I just put out a shallow pan of water yeaterday. It's getting terribl hot.

Shade, water, lots of fresh, cold water. I gave mine cold watermelon yesterday, having read it on here. They loved it.

They also need the dirt to dig down in to cool themselves off. Others here put frozen pop bottles in their water.

I have an air conditioner in their coop and misters around their run.

But then I live where it is VERY hot. It was 94 degrees yesterday.

Slifer used to climb into the wading pool and just sit there...THEN we got an air conditioner...she'd sit in front of it all day long. Ds would capture Obelisk and run with her through the sprinkler.
