My Hen just hatched her eggs last night :) :) :)

If she's been setting there all this time, she'll be fine.
Give her a couple days to decide to bring chicks off the nest.
Make sure they have a chick sized feeder and waterer.

Did you pull any other eggs that were laid in with her daily?

Ok, we just put the light that was in the coop near her space and now we are going to purchase another lamp.

Ok, I will make sure to get one for them. Will post pics...wondering if i put water in her space if it will get too wet in her area?

no we have not touched any of her eggs, she is not having it either lol

I doubt they need any heat lamps.....what's the temp there?

Do you have a chick size waterer?

Usually when you let a broody set, you mark the eggs when she starts setting and remove any new ones laid by other birds daily to avoid a staggered hatch.

Why are you putting in lights? Mama will keep those babies plenty warm without them, and you don’t want to overheat her. I raised babies in MN in April (temps in the 40s during the day, colder at night) in the coop with a Mama Heating Pad. They would go out, eat and drink, run around for a while and head to the MHP when they needed to warm up. Yours will do that, too. Chicks aren’t as fragile as they’re made out to be. What are your temperatures like right now?

I agree with most. I doubt the hen will have any problem this time of year in GA. I've had hens hatch chicks in November and I left them alone. I did take chicks indoors when it got down into single digits till it rebounded but otherwise in the 20s I just put a heat lamp over the food/water station so they could eat and drink in peace. The hen kept them toasty warm in the nest.

I was putting the light as she had already hatched about 1 or 2 and I did not want them to be too cold as the coop is not completely closed in.

During the days can differ 40, 50, 60's and yes it can get colder at night. lol I will try not to be so over protective
