My Hen left her nest with 1-2 days to go. What to do ??

OMG. I'm hooked on this thread now. Forget about mowing the lawn or laundry or anything.
I'm going to sit here with fingers crossed and breath held (hard to drink my coffee this way).
Oh gosh you must be freaking out. I am.

Woke up an hour ago and we have 1 little black chick ! I got up once during the night to help it a bit and spray more water into the oven. It has not fluffed up yet but starting to dry off so probably not long out of the shell. It is very loud and quite active. Now do I just leave it in the oven or put it in a box until tonight when I will put it with one of the mothers ? There are still two more eggs. One still cheeping and with a small crack. Other one quiet upto now.
I will see if I can upload a picture...

I would put the hatched chick in a box, but you have to put a light on it or something to keep it warm. It might be good to provide the chick a little bit of water also.

I don't think you mentioned what breed these chicks are. So, what breed are they?

I am saying they, because I am hoping more will be hatching soon.

I got my 7 hens from a local market here in France and I am not 100% sure of the breeds. The hen who was sitting on the eggs looks like a Sussex Red with little black feathers on the tail. Just bred for egg production. I have 3 of those.. She was sat on hers and 3 other eggs. I also have 2 black hens with a few brown feathers on the neck and a slight green tinge to the ends of the black feathers. And I have two grey Marans. The chick that has hatched is black and the egg that is cracking is a white egg that belongs to the Maran.
