Hi guys!
I have a Lohmann brown hen that is about 8-9 months old now. She's been laying everyday for the last 2.5-3 months and has only skipped 2 days before once or twice (2 days with coming home and being on a new diet and then one day after I cleaned the coop). She's gotten 2 new roommates on August 23rd. The first 5-7 days she was still laying everyday with her new friends. Now for probably 2 weeks or so she hasnt laid one egg! Unless Im very blind I cannot find any.
Contributing factors:
- Daylight is getting dark at 830pm instead of 930pm but they still go outside the same amount in day time (3-4 hours)
- New flock members (but she stopped laying AFTER she became friendly toward them... at first she hated them.. now theyre BFFs)
- I cleaned the coop about 10 days ago which is what I thought might have stopped her but its been so long now
- I've felt her buttocks 3x in the past 2 weeks and do not feel egg bound or anything
What the heck could be the issue?! She is my only laying hen atm since the new guys are 2.5-3 months.
