My Henny is sick

From the sound of things, this hen needs help quickly. To not be able to stand - she is very sick.

My best wishes - this post will bump this thread up to the top so others can see it and lend their expertise.

There are a number of choices but one product often recommended on BYC is Ivomec Eprinex - a very small amount is placed on their skin.

Hens should have access to oyster shell (calcium) at all times. I noticed the part of your post about a soft shell...and that calcium is offered only once per week.

She is extremely ill at this point - as evidenced by not being able to stand up.

Bumping this back up.

I would not give any more scratch as long as she is ill...recquires more energy from her to process and that is at the cost of her immune system which will be weaker due to eating less and being ill.
Did you do as your vet advised and get the med?
Have you separated her to a temperature stable (warm) environment (you need to do this)
This will ensure you are able to monitor her food and water intake ... you must ensure she is drinking as ill birds will often become dehydrated and that will complicate matters only more.

NO she doesn't have any scratch. Yes she's isolated in our home. Yes she's been wormed and is taking meds. She's drinking some but not much. She's alert. Is using her left side/leg more but the right side is not being used much. She has NO balance even though she tries. I'm wondering if she's hurt herself on the right side! I touch her and no apparent pain but I'm at a loss here.

UPDATE:

Just thought I'd pop in here and let everyone know that my Henny is doing great. She finally recovered whatever was wrong. I highly suspect a stroke. She was unable to use her right side but had no other symptoms of anything I could find online or in books. She is back to normal and has been otu with her buddies for over a month now.
