I have 7 girls four of whick are laying. For the last few weeks they The last 3 days they have laid before noon! Yeah! I am so excited because now I can truly say they make breakfast for me every morning. I guess they are like human women and it takes a while and then all of their cycles get in sink with eadh other! Oh and they alway lay in the same nest box except for the lowest girl in the pecking order who lays in her own box.

They may not always lay in the mornings. The "average" cycle is 26 hours, which means you will get some eggs in the afternoon. I've even had eggs after 6pm! Once their cycle is this late, they will usually take a day off and resume with a morning egg the next day.

I have 4 pullets and only one has laid so far. Her first egg was Sunday and laid another perfect little egg yesterday. Both times in the next box. It's amazing how they know to use the nest box without any instruction or anything. Pretty cool!
