I have three pens who have stopped laying too. I think between the heat and the severe thunderstorms is at fault. If it continues I will use the down time to worm them.

BTW I don't feed my penned birds scratch, they get layer mash and weekly treats of vegetables and cooked eggs. In this severe heat we have been having scratch will only increase the body temperature. If your birds are penned I think you should cut the scratch and find other treats until fall.

I was thinking heat too. It is so darn hot down here in Florida.
