Hello, i have recently walked up to my chicken coop to find that one of my six (4 week old) ducklings had been pecked on the head and the back of the neck. We have locked them in the little roosting hut and put a 16 by 22 cm squared water container in there and some drinking water. Is the 22 by 16cm container enough water and is there any advice on how to get the chickens used to the ducks

The water just needs to be deep enough that they can submerge their whole head. I can't think of anything you can do to get them used to each other, besides keeping them in pens close enough to see each other, so the easiest way would probably be just to wait until the ducklings are fully feathered and able to defend themselves.

Mine were raised separate but in the same coop....My Ducks and Chickens hate each other....Time to set up another pen for Ducks. Mine all sleep in a Dog house with a 10x10 dog run for an enclosure...Works great. I free range but have a mesh fence keeping them apart.....
