My hen's eye looks so bad :(!!

My hen just started going broody this week and i went to check in on her and one of her eyes is completely swollen shut!! What do i do?!!! Should i take her to the vet or is there something i can do for her from home? Thanks in advance!

Do you see any signs of peck marks or stings around her eye? Usually swelling around an eye can be a sinus infection from a respiratory disease. Her nose looks clean, but have you seen any sneezing, rattly breathing, gasping, or nasal drainage. Occasionally a cyst or tumor can cause swelling. Antibiotics such as oxytetracycline or Tylan can be used to treat some respiratory diseases. Give us an update on her condition if she develops other symptoms.

She doesn't seem to have any sneezing/gasping/nasal drainage. I can't tell if she's lethargic because she's broody but I don't think she got up for food and water yesterday- I tried hand feeding her. I tried washing out her eye last and was hoping it would look better this morning but it looks about the same and now another one of my chickens has the same swollen eye! I'm going to take both out and quarantine until I figure out what is going on
