My "Hens" Started Crowing! Please help!

The place that I ordered all my chicks from had told me they were Araucana. They were also all supposed to be hens as well. I'm new to raising chickens, would I know by now if any of my other chickens are roosters

Then, he's an Easter Egger, most likely. Where did you get them? Araucanas have not been available at any hatchery anywhere that I'm aware of, except that I saw the dropshipper, MyPetChicken supposedly has Araucanas (their website photo shows one of questionable quality).

This is an Araucana article with photos: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Araucana, like this one:

And sexing is an art that can have a 10% failure rate. No one guarantees their sexing 100%.

Hey, Araucana breeders, check this one out:

Many hatcheries mistakenly sell Easter Eggers (mixed breed chickens that lay colored eggs) as "Ameraucanas" or "Araucanas." Basically the only place to get purebred Araucanas is from a breeder.

Sexing, at best, is only 95% accurate. Most birds sold as hens do turn out to be hens, but there are always exceptions. Your bird is almost certainly an Easter Egger rooster.

As for whether you would know by now if your other chickens are roosters, yes, you probably would. Chickens can be sexed pretty well by appearance from 8 weeks of age onward. Sometimes there are slower maturing roosters, or particularly difficult breeds, like Silkies, but at 16+ weeks, gender is usually obvious.

I was lucky a friend of mine was looking for a rooster. Don't want to aggravate the neighborhood
