Todays the day! I get home and find out my bator has finally got here! So I carefuly open it up and assmble it and realize its missing one of the red plugs in the top! So is there somthing I can use unill the company ships the new one? Or can I set them with out the plug? The model number is 1602N

I think you could use anything that would plug up the hole - a piece of tape or a paper towel. I would imagine it would be good enough until they can ship out a replacement part.

Thanks thats what I though but this is my first time hatching eggs and I'm being the bigest worry-wort ever

Typically you don't use the plugs until lockdown anyway, to help raise the humidity. Right now you want good airflow, so an open vent is good. If at lockdown you still don't have the plug just use a piece of tape.

It has ventalation holes all over the bottem and its supposed to be super good with air flow and stuff. Thanks all of you!

i thought you take out the plugs on lock down...? don't the eggs need fresh air before lock down...?

Okay another bumb question, where can I get a hydrometer? My incabator was supposed to come with one but the company thinks I'm lieing about the plug AND the hydrometer missing so they refuse to give an other one

Eggs need oxygen at all stages of development, the closer to hatch the more oxygent they need or they may suffocate.

I never run any of my bators bator with all plugs in, there are other methods to increase humidity (sponges, rags etc) than closing all vents and risking suffocating your embrios.
