We have a pond liner and I as trying to think of the best way to filter it. I was thinking of something similar, but I also wanted to add some duckweed to the mix to additionally clean the water. The only thing would be keeping the ducks from eating all the weed...LOL

Thanks for the post and pics! Your pond looks great! I have been trying to convince my DW that we need to do this for my geese and with the help of your pics I think she is ready to give in and let me buy the pond, pump and piping. It would be a lot easier than dumping three kiddie pools every three days!
