I told him today (after 4 years of having chickens, including anconas and spitzhaubens) that all commercial chicken eggs start out brown and get bleached, some more than others.... and that's how white eggs exist. He said "Wow, that must be a really strong bleach solution!"... and I just laughed at him. I mean really, I collect 2 or 3 white eggs every day, in addition to the brown, tan, green and blue... what a dope!
