My insurance and weightloss,,, the cost of Jenny Craig is ungodly!!

Flipped = Retroflexed!

It is just backwards.... you guys make it sound like it is truly flipped! With all of my anatomy and reproduction classes I have never heard of this; tipped yes but flipped?

Flipped/Tipped, my doctor used flipped because it was more than tipped slightly over it was almost sideways. I'm not going to get into a semantics argument about uterine positioning when the discussion concerns weight gain and the causes of it. Thank you for your concern.

Nah... you just learn something new every day!

I was not trying to hijack either, or turn this discussion into something else; I had just never heard of this condition before. I found it interesting.

Good luck with the weight loss.

Getting back on track...

Thank you all for this discussion of age and weight gain. I was skinny, skinny until I went through a business difficulty at age 35. The stress caused me to eat (compulsively) and gain 30+ lbs. Even after I left that situation and those habits, I could not shed the weight. I feel very blessed to have a partner who loves me in all my variations. However, I would appreciate tips suited to my age (40s) and my lifestyle (not a gym rat).

Thanks!

You are easier to help than Kate because she is already doing everything right.

You sound like me. I quit dieting almost 3 years ago and have lost 50 lbs. Not a quick fix, just slowly gone. I'll take it. I started concentrating on the healthy foods that I love such as green beans. I only like other veggies in alfredo sauce so I don't eat many of them

Also berries and tangerines. I LOVE them! I eat whole grain bread, real butter, 1% milk and full flavor mayo. See the trade off? I also started eating a large lunch at a later time like 1:00 pm. Now at night if I am not hungry I don't eat. I have hard candies at home and only the ones I really enjoy. I too don;t get much exercise

Try a few things I did and see if it will fit with your life. Good luck!

I lucked out and found a treadmill on Kijiji for $90

and then 3 days later twisted my knee getting out of the truck (kicks the truck tire and curses lift kits)

even little things like parking at the back of the parking lot instead of rushing to get the closest spot, it makes you walk that little further and increasing your "exercise" slowly and painlessly

I have a little bit of a theory... not proven or anything just an observation if you will... I try to stay away from the processed foods, I find that they are evil in a colourful packaging ..lol good luck and GREAT JOB Debi

That's why I do Medifast. Only $10 a day which is what I could spend on a latte and eating lunch out at work. Now I have healthy food that actually tastes way better than Jenny Craig, I've done that one too.

To date I've lost about 100 lbs with another 50-ish to go. My thyroid meds have been reduced by 2/3rds since starting the program.

I am now a health coach, helping other people reach their goals is the most amazing experience.

Good luck to all, the weightloss struggle can be so overwhelming.
