My insurance and weightloss,,, the cost of Jenny Craig is ungodly!!

After 2 years that she had her son, my friends mom used JC.
The food was expensive, and she said it taste like S**T.
She quit, and used the green tea diet and lost lots of weight after 3 months

Honestly, you are probably more healthy than you think you are. Plenty of overweight people eat right, exercise, stay away from junk and just remain overweight. I have a friend of mine who is 60 years old and about 40 lbs overweight. Her blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, heart rate, etc., are beyond perfect. It all happened after menopause too. The big M has more effects on a person than one might think.

Yep the effect is really yucky, and especially when it's not a natural menopause. Mine was induced by an emergency surgery back then and it sure caught us by surprise!

No matter how it happens, the after effects are lasting. I often wonder just how skinny the skinny elderly were before!

I hear you on the metabolism stuff--It's got to be very hard!!
I do wish Overeaters Anonymous was called Compulsive Eaters Anonymous, though, so more of the people it could help would know about it. It helps with any compulsive eating problems--starving, overeating, purging, bingeing, compulsively eating the wrong foods for you, etc. It helps not only with eating, but with the rest of life. You make good, understanding, caring friends, too.

I almost wish I had an overeating issue, then at least I'd know there was something out there that would help me!

Ya know, I would suggest increasing fiber rich foods. I quit dieting about 3 years ago because it is a pain in my behind. I started eating better - that's it. Just eating better. 50 lbs in three years gone. I am still over weight but I am eating right. Because you ALREADY eat right, try increasing fiber content. Fiber makes one feel fuller for longer, hence, you eat less. There is a website - calorieking.com that lists the calories, fiber, sugars etc in just about every food on the planet.

So if it's not overeating or eating healthy and its not exercise than I think the meds are your only option... why are you looking into
Jenny Craig then.. I guess I'm confused as to what you are looking for? Something to speed up your metabolism?

She went through early menopause that screwed with her system.
