My name is Roy, I'm 70 years old, a retired heavy equipment mechanic, and my former pastime was old tractors, Ford N series basically, but my health has forced me to a less stressful hobby. I had chickens before, about 125 at one time, and always wanted to get back in them. So me and my son, 16 years old,{adopted my grandson at birth}, are getting involved, a real father, son undertaking. We just built a new hen house together, and as we speak he is finishing the wire on a chicken run we made.
We are planning on more birds later, we got a incubator and we are dying to try our luck.

Welcome to the forum Roy. I learned not to steer with the brakes in front of the house, (the hard way), on an old 801 before I was out of grade school. You're in like company.
