I got My Isa Browns in late July of 2015 and they still aren't laying. I don't have a heat lamp on them. Should I? Please help!!!!

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! They may just need a little more time especially so if you are in winter right now. Do you have them in a coop amd secures area? If not and you let them free range they may have a hidden nest somewhere. There is also the egg laying section you could post in, here is the link ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/18/chicken-behaviors-and-egglaying

Wishing you the very best of luck and I hope you have some eggs real soon.

Enjoy BYC and all the chicken chat :frow

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. Yorkshire coop has given you some good advice so I'll just say, "If you haven't done so already, definitely check out our Learning Center at https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is lots of useful information there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your pullets laying soon."

They wouldn't need a heat lamp at 6 mos. of age. But the darker, longer days of winter could be delaying their egg laying. Coming into spring, I bet they will start laying for you.
Welcome to Backyard chickens.
