My kitty inadvertently killed my chickies!

Abby the Tabby has always asisted in my incubation-- all I have to say is, "Abby, let's go check the eggs!" and she runs into the spare bedroom to peer into the incubator. 3 or 4 hatches now, she's a pro. Well, this time she stretched out on top as chick #7 was hatching, and pushed the heat button up all the way. Cooked every one of them. I am so sad. We had a long talk, added more eggs, and I've learned to shut the bedroom door. Poor little chicklets. Fingers crossed for my New Year's babies. And I have forgiven Abby.....
