My learning of identifying breeds

A newbie in chicken keeping received a 45 chick surprise package from Cackle. That s me, and i have to learn to identify them quickly before dividing them up according to size and temper and other traits. This post s for ppl like me who r interested in identifying chicks.

Day 1,
I recognized 4 silkie bantams just because of the hairy legs and extra toe and blueish black ear

Day 2
I started to check their YouTube n realize the one chick w weird wingtip feather pattern might be a white japanese bantam

Day 2, i looked up these chipmunk colored chicks and thought they might be sussex

Opps the ducklings might be geese? Hmm, i ll need to take a closer look

day 2, now the task is to distinguish susex from brown cornish and welsummer and light brown leghorn

hmm a challenge

Seems that i got an EE hope that bulge is the beard.
