My leukemia's back.

Glad your breathing is a bit better Getaclue! Hope the oxygen brings even more relief. Stay safe. :hugs

Irma decided to make landfall on Cudjoe Key, where we spend Thanksgiving most years. Thoughts and prayers are with all the residents of the lower keys, and those on the mainland still in the path.

I'm betting we're not going this year, since the house is right on Cudjoe bay. :hit

Likely not @FridayYet, going to be a sad thing for a lot of people I'm afraid.

I have friends that have had their permanent residence in Fort Myers for about the last 12 years, they summer up here. Irma is slated to run directly over Fort Myers. Based on the storm surge maps, no need to hurry back south, their house has a 90%-100% chance of being flooded by 9' storm surge. It is in one of the many neighborhoods built with canals so everyone can have their boat in the "back yard" and motor out to sea to "play". Near as I can tell from Zillow, the entire neighborhood is mobile homes. Depending on the winds, the surge flooding may not matter at all because there won't be anything left to flood.

My nephew is supposed to get married on St. Pete's beach in 3 weeks. His Fiance's family all live in Tampa, which is supposed to get hit pretty hard, too.

There is going to be so much devastation, hope there is no loss of life.

Found this quote the other day, I sure have been repeating it to myself lately (trouble sleeping)...maybe some of you would like it too?

We've done pretty much all we can do to prepare for Irma. The chickens are tucked safely into my garage. Dh got called into work early, so Dd #1, and I finished things up. We won't see him until everything is over with. Overall, I think we are in fairly good shape.

My breathing seems better. I got a call from the oxygen provider used by my insurance company. They will be calling back soon, to schedule an appointment for a breathing test, to see if I meet the criteria for oxygen.
Oxygen? Really I hope you don't need it.... At least not long term. All the problems I have and I've never needed oxygen.
Prayers friend...... Phil
