Good morning Team Rachel. Al, sounds like the surgery went well. Thanks for the updates. I have several tests coming up on the 20th. Normally tests are just routine to me. This time is different. I'm apprehensive, and slightly dreading having to go have them done. I'm not sure why. Maybe because they were originally to be done after the first of the year, but they got moved up, and are now intruding into my Holiday time.

Hi Debby. I'm doing OK. Little abscess spots are just sitting there - not getting better, not getting worse. Not sure what the next step is, besides being healthy as possible and letting my body break them down ssslllooooooowwllllyyyyyy.

We had just enough points left over for two round trips to Denver, so we'll fly up Saturday morning and come back Wednesday. Really looking forward to seeing everyone, including Sadie, the new Anatolian/Pyrenees puppy DD1 just got. (Although I think they are nuts for having 2 big dogs in a postage stamp suburban lot!)

Your trip sounds like a lot of fun! I hope you'll share a picture of that new pup, bet it's a cutie (and a handful ).

Being as healthy as possible sounds like a good treatment plan

Not the best situation, especially with LGD breeds. Can they take the dogs on long walks multiple times a day?

I once had a great pyrenees when I lived in the city in Texas. He was actually a very low energy dog. We would take him on walks, and take him rollerblading. .. but he didn't care if he missed a day or more of exercise.

He did however have a VERY large "home range", which meant he would not stay near the house if he got out. He would just go!

He also thought everything was in his territory. That meant that if someone 5 houses down slammed their door, he would bark.

So BARKING the insane amount of drool, and hair shedding, were the issues that we had with him.
